I just got back from a 5-day backpacking trip in Yosemite. We hiked from Tenaya Lake to Yosemite Valley, and in the middle I hiked to Cloud's Rest (9926 feet), and Half Dome (8836 feet). Overall, I hiked about 30 miles.
My hiking companions were Gabriella (a long-time family friend and 2nd Mom), Glenn and Gary who are part of her singing group, and Gary's wife Leanne. (In picture order: Glenn, Gabriella, Julie, Leanne, Gary)
The view from Cloud's Rest was spectacular! Our backcountry camp by a little lake in the high country was peaceful and serene. In the dark, we could see millions of stars and the Milky Way. It was a great trip!
